The SOM-Zy is a compact, radiation-tolerant System-on-Module designed for high-performance space applications. Based on the AMD Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC, it combines quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processing, real-time Cortex-R5 control and advanced programmable logic for efficient high-throughput data processing.

With ECC-protected memory, a redundant storage architecture, up to 1 TB of mass storage and high-speed transceivers up to 12.5 Gbps, it enables reliable integration with demanding payloads and communication systems.

To enhance system reliability and fault tolerance, a flash-based Microchip ProASIC3 FPGA provides an independent, radiation-resilient control path for power management, system monitoring and fail-safe operation.
